If you read my previous post, you will know that dd has been refusing to go to sleep. She stayed up and watched Barack Obama’s acceptance speech a few nights ago. I didn’t really think she understood what he was talking about. That was until a few minutes ago. We ate lunch and we were talking about things. Out of no where, she said to me: Barack Obama is going to be the next guy mom, he is going to make changes now. My jaw dropped to the floor. She watched, listened and actually is still thinking about that speech. How truly amazing.

lol my parents love to tell me the story that when I was a kid (3-4 years old) I climbed on a chair and declared that I would be the Prime minister one day. I’m still working on that, but in the meantime I studied enough so that now I am about 18 months away from getting my PhD in Political Science–but still listening to death metal and going to concerts and getting tattoos. \m/
